About Me

Bonjour! Thank you for taking the time to view my blog, where I share my observations and reflections while serving in the Peace Corps in Cameroon.

headshotI applied to be a Maternal and Child Health extension volunteer with Peace Corps Cameroon in December 2014. I have been passionate about reproductive health, family planning, and sex education for many years, volunteering with different organizations and clinics, and studying women’s health. I arrived in Cameroon in September 2015, and swore in as a volunteer in November 2015. I created this blog to share what I learn and experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Danfili, and now, Ngaoundal, Adamawa, Cameroon.

Thank you for following my blog and sharing in my adventures.  Don’t be a stranger! If you have questions about serving as a PCV or about life in Cameroon, feel free to leave a comment or contact me directly.

  1. Just started keeping up with your blog. I work with your Aunt Andrea who told me about your adventures and interest. I’m originally from Liberia and aware of the tremendous sacrifices Peace Corps make to help educate, train and develop our crumbling healthcare system in third world countries. THANK YOU!

Just wanted you to know that you are greatly missed and glad (hope) you’re fulfilled over yonder…
